The Red Hat Global Professional Services team is seeking an Associate Manager to join us in Australia. In this hybrid leadership role, you will be responsible for two core pillars: the professional development of your team and the commercial success of your region’s professional services sales and delivery. You will lead a section of the ANZ Consulting delivery team, fostering a culture of mentorship and career growth while simultaneously managing the financial health, sales collaboration, and delivery governance of our engagements. You will partner with Sales teams to scope solutions, guide Consultants through project lifecycles, and act as a trusted advisor to ensure we consistently deliver high-value outcomes for our customers.
Primary job responsibilities
Participate in the scoping, definition, and commercial structuring of Red Hat’s Professional Services solutions, partnering with Sales and Pre-Sales teams to align offerings with client business outcomes.
Support the execution of account plans and actively participate in sales cadence meetings to identify new business opportunities.
Support customer meetings for strategic engagements to articulate the value of the Red Hat Services engagement model.
Support the weekly forecasting of bookings and revenue, and participate in monitoring project costs, subcontractor expenses, and overall margin.
Support the end-to-end proposal approval workflow, including reviewing Statements of Work, preparing project estimates, and facilitating internal approvals, high-risk reviews, and term or scope extensions.
Participate in quarterly and yearly strategic business planning, including assessing skills coverage and headcount requirements.
Provide direct management and mentorship to a team of consultants, facilitating 1:1s, performance discussions, and quarterly connections.
Participate in the development and implementation of team enablement plans and ongoing professional development cadences.
Manage the end-to-end employment lifecycle, including recruitment support, promotion administration, and remuneration planning.
Support the coordination of governance meetings for strategic engagements and assist in tracking project status and managing escalations.
Participate in Partner with the Resource Management activities to assist in project staffing, scheduling, and partner/subcontractor engagement.
Build interpersonal relationships across Red Hat departments and act as a trusted advisor to support the successful delivery of customer outcomes.
Requirements
Knowledge of the Red Hat product portfolio and value proposition.
Experience in supporting the sales cycle, collaborating with account teams, and scoping complex consulting engagements.
Experience overseeing multiple projects, managing escalations, and working with resource management teams to drive delivery quality.
Proven ability to manage, mentor, and grow technical talent in a high-performing environment.
Communication skills with the ability to influence internal stakeholders and build trusted advisor relationships with clients.
Candidates should be based in one of these Australian capital cities: Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth, or Sydney.
