Kids Rehab is the largest tertiary paediatric rehabilitation service in NSW, providing services to children and young people who as a result of injury, illness, a health condition or surgical/medical intervention, would benefit from a multidisciplinary program of goal-directed rehabilitation.
The department are a study site for a multi-site cerebral palsy musculoskeletal study being coordinated by University of Queensland. The Research Assistant will work closely with the principal investigator and clinical staff to provide administrative support to the study, monitoring the musculoskeletal health (hips, spine and bone density) of children with cerebral palsy over a 3-year period. The contract will likely be extended beyond the current 12-month period to sustain the 3-year project, depending on the success of the candidate during the first year.
What you'll be doing
The purpose of this role is to support research related activity within the Kid’s Rehab department with a primary focus on tasks related to the establishment, maintenance and reporting of Registry data.
The primary purpose of this role is to contribute actively to the provision of high-quality research activities at the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network (SCHN).

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, or a combination of study and work experience.
- Demonstrated clinical research knowledge and experience including the ability to provide support and coordination of clinical research activities including ethics and governance submission, protocols, registry activities, research publications and other research writing.
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to work in accordance with key underpinning frameworks and principles in clinical trials, including GCP and the National Clinical Trials Governance Framework.
