Sous Chef – The Rise Pizzeria Café & Piccolini
We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join our growing team and take on a leadership role across The Rise Pizzeria Café and Piccolini Play Cafe.
Working closely with our Executive Chef, this position plays a key role in maintaining kitchen leadership when the Executive Chef is splitting time between both venues. You will be responsible for ensuring consistent food quality, leading the kitchen team during service, and helping maintain the standards that both venues are known for.
The Rise Pizzeria Café, located in Narre Warren North, has become a local favourite over the past six years. By night we bring a slice of traditional Italy to the community, focusing on quality pizza, seasonal ingredients and house-made products.
Piccolini Play cafe continues that philosophy with a focus on authentic Italian cooking and high-quality produce.
You will be joining a family-run business with a young, energetic and passionate team that genuinely cares about what we do and the experience we provide our guests.

What we are looking for
- Minimum 2+ years post-qualification experience in a similar role
- Experience with stock control and food orders
- Trade qualified (Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent)
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to run a kitchen service
- A positive attitude and genuine focus on quality and service
- Excellent communication and team management skills
- Highly reliable, organised and professional
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to continue learning and improving
- Availability to work days, nights and weekends on a rotating roster
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $69,000.00 per year
