ROLE SUMMARY:
The Operations Training Coordinator is responsible for enabling the effective planning, coordination, and delivery of State Operations learning and development activities, ensuring training is aligned to operational priorities, regulatory requirements, and workforce capability needs. The role provides high-level administrative and secretariat support to the Assistant Chief Officer (ACO) – Operational Training Strategy & Development, including coordinating meetings, preparing briefs and reports, managing correspondence, and supporting project work to ensure efficient and professional operations.
The position manages the State operations training calendar and coordinates state run training (which may include driver training, technical rescue training, RAIR training, IMT training, etc) delivery across the state, including scheduling, logistics, and stakeholder engagement. It ensures continuity of training in a dynamic operational environment by proactively managing rescheduling, reallocating resources, and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders. The role also manages contractor engagement, and contributes to the effective and efficient delivery of training services aligned to regional capability requirements.

We support them to understand their risk and the relevance of taking action before, during and after emergency events.
As the largest road rescue network in Australia we have specialist teams that provide a 24/7 response to road accident and trauma incidents. We assist Victoria Police in search and rescue operations, and play an important role in supporting the Country Fire Authority (CFA), Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV), Parks Victoria and the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) during major bushfire and emergency incidents.
