About the Role
The Supply Hub Operator works as part of a small team to safely and efficiently operate mobile plant within a controlled environment. The role is responsible for inventory management, picking, packing and conducting inventory related duties while learning to utilise SAP. Loading, unloading and managing cargo is also a requirement of the role to meet customer requirements within the Coastal Supply Hub.
Location: QE North West Supply Hub, Karratha
Roster: 14 days on / 14 days off
Note - this is a local position, no FIFO applicants will be considered.
Specific Responsibilities
- System transactions, Goods Receipt, Putaway, Preserve, Pick, Pack, Ship materials as per demand.
- Take individual responsibility for accuracy and completing inventory transactions.
- Process returns with the same diligence as outbound materials.
- Be proficient in inventory management and associated Microsoft systems,
- Operate material/cargo handling equipment safely and efficiently (forklifts from 3 tonne to 48 tonne).
- Work with a small team to ensure the safe and efficient flow of transport through operational yards.
- Reposition containers within the yard as required.
- Complete all required documentation accurately and on time.
- Care for and manage equipment and assets under your control.
- Communicate effectively and maintain a solutions-focused mindset.
- Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement.
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace using 5S principles (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardise, Sustain).
- Operate equipment and machinery with care and in a safe manner.
- Load and unload trucks of various configurations and sizes safely and within required timeframes, ensuring materials are receipted correctly and manual handling practices are followed.
- Carry out any other reasonable task within your capability, skill set and training.
- Follow the principles of Chain of Responsibility.
Qualifications and Experience
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role.
- Specialised systems knowledge.
- Computer literate, with experience in MS Office.
- Current Australian driver’s licence (car).
- Current Forklift Licence (LF).
- Current reach stacker competency.
- Chain of Responsibility qualification.
- Certificate III or IV in Supply Chain/Logistics (desirable).
- Dogman licence.
- Dangerous Goods awareness and qualification in transport of DG by road, air and sea (desirable).
