The Education and Research Unit provides Nursing and Midwifery education, professional practice development services and Clinical Practice Improvement initiatives for Nursing and Midwifery staff, to facilitate the achievement of best practice health service delivery requirements. The Gladstone Education and Research Unit is an integral part of CQHHS and is situated at the Gladstone Hospital.

About the role:
The Nurse Educator is accountable at an advanced practice level for the design, implementation and assessment of nursing education programs, managing educational resources and provides nursing expertise relating to educational issues.
Ensures the integration of the principles of contemporary education into nursing practice.
Ensures nursing and advanced health care knowledge, skills and ability by supporting an evidence-based learning environment and participating in learning activities/opportunities for self and others.
Demonstrate ability to develop, implement and evaluate initiatives that improve patient and service outcomes through quality improvement and research processes.
About you:
The successful applicant will possess a Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent. Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
While not mandatory, a relevant postgraduate qualification in which clinical education was a component would be well regarded.
Proven ability to assess education needs, plan and implement education strategies and evaluate outcomes.
Ability to practice within an evidence-based framework and initiate quality improvement and research activities.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $4,562 p.m. is comprised of:
An hourly rate between $70.58 - $76.63 p.h.
12.75% employer superannuation contribution
