Start date: ASAP (negotiable for the right candidate)
Wolfpack Print is a leading design, print, and signage company based in Hervey Bay. We’re looking for an experienced Graphic Designer with a strong background in print-ready artwork to join our dynamic team.
This role is ideal for a designer who understands how artwork translates from screen to real-world applications – from business stationery and signage to large-format prints and full vehicle wraps. This is a strictly in-house position; remote or freelance applications will not be considered.
As a Graphic Designer at Wolfpack Print, you will be responsible for producing visually strong, accurate, and practical designs that support our clients’ branding goals and meet production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Graphic Design for Print: Create accurate, production-ready artwork for documents, signage, large-format displays, and vehicle wraps
- Branding & Identity: Create, develop, and work with logos, brand guidelines, and style guides to ensure consistency across all outputs, applying strong fundamentals in colour theory, typography, and layout
- Pre-Press & File Preparation: Prepare files correctly for production, including bleed, colour modes and profiles, scaling, finishing requirements, and output specifications for various print methods
- Proofing & Quality Control: Conduct thorough proofing to ensure accuracy in content, layout, colour reproduction, and print quality before production
- Client Artwork & Communication: Check, adjust, and prepare supplied client files to meet Wolfpack’s production standards, and communicate clearly with clients when required to resolve artwork or production issues
- Collaboration: Work closely with sales staff, print operators, and installers to ensure designs are practical, efficient to produce, and suitable for installation
- Attention to Detail: Follow established systems and processes to maintain accuracy, consistency, and quality across all jobs in a fast-paced environment
- Innovation & Improvement: Contribute ideas to improve design workflows, efficiency, and visual outcomes
- Organisation: Maintain well-organised digital files and adhere to internal naming conventions and storage systems
Requirements
- Minimum 12 months’ experience as a graphic designer working in print and large-format production, including signage, vehicle wraps, and branded print collateral
- High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat) and CorelDRAW
- Comfortable working in a PC-based environment (not Mac)
- Strong understanding of print production processes, materials, colour management, and limitations
- Excellent attention to detail, with strong spelling and grammar skills
- Ability to manage multiple jobs simultaneously and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to liaise with clients and internal team members professionally
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think quickly and adapt to changing requirement
- A collaborative, positive attitude aligned with Wolfpack’s values of quality, reliability, and teamwork
- A professional portfolio demonstrating relevant signage, print, and large-format work
