About the role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Engagement Officer to lead the planning and delivery of impactful stakeholder engagement initiatives across the Hospitality and Racing portfolio. In this role, you will develop and implement integrated engagement strategies, coordinate industry events, roadshows, webinars and forums, and deliver high-quality communications that promote participation, awareness and engagement.
Working across a diverse stakeholder landscape, you will manage end-to-end event delivery including project planning, logistics, budgeting, stakeholder engagement, risk management and post-event evaluation. You will also provide strategic advice, foster strong partnerships with industry, community and government stakeholders, and lead a small team to deliver successful engagement programs that support organisational and government priorities.

About you
You are an experienced engagement and events professional with a proven track record of planning and delivering complex stakeholder engagement programs, industry events, forums, conferences and webinars. You excel at building strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, including senior government representatives, industry partners and community groups, and have the confidence to influence outcomes, navigate competing priorities and manage sensitive issues.
Highly organised and solutions-focused, you can successfully manage multiple workstreams, tight deadlines and complex logistics while maintaining a strong focus on quality and stakeholder outcomes. You bring experience in developing engagement strategies, event communication plans and post-event reporting, along with strong risk management capabilities and the ability to identify and mitigate reputational, stakeholder and operational risks.
A skilled communicator, you can develop compelling content across a range of channels, including executive briefings, speaking notes, presentations, invitations, promotional materials and stakeholder correspondence. Most importantly, you are a collaborative leader who enjoys mentoring others, fostering strong partnerships and delivering meaningful engagement initiatives that create positive outcomes for industry, community and government stakeholders.
