About the role
The Neuropsychologist - Clinical Research contributes to implementation research focused on a new model of care for people with Parkinson's Disease at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital. Working within the PDCogniCare research program, the role supports improved assessment of cognitive impairment and diagnosis of dementia in Parkinson's Disease through the delivery of specialised clinical neuropsychology and research activities.
The successful candidate will develop, plan and implement clinical research projects, undertake neuropsychological assessments and reporting, and contribute to the design, delivery and evaluation of innovative models of care. The role combines advanced clinical neuropsychology expertise with project management, research translation and service improvement activities to improve outcomes for patients and support the advancement of evidence-based practice.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Provide advanced neuropsychological assessment, clinical reasoning and evidence-based care for people participating in Parkinson's Disease research programs.
Lead and contribute to clinical research activities including study design, participant recruitment, data collection, analysis, reporting and dissemination of findings.
Collaborate effectively with consumers, clinicians, researchers and multidisciplinary stakeholders to achieve research and service objectives.
Apply high-level project management, problem-solving and communication skills to support the successful delivery of research and model-of-care initiatives.
Identify opportunities for service improvement and support the implementation of evidence-based changes that enhance care for people with Parkinson's Disease.
