High-Needs Support Worker (Female) | Private Home | Casual
We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable female support worker to join a small, family-oriented team providing high-needs care for a young adult with a complex physical disability. Critical Requirements:
- You must have fluent spoken and written English. This is essential for reading, understanding, and strictly following complex policy documents and care instructions.
- We require someone who will prioritise this role. Consistent attendance and punctuality are required to ensure the safety and stability of care.
- The ability to listen intently and follow specific directions accurately is vital.
- This role is physically demanding. You must be strong and capable of performing manual handling and high-needs physical support.
- A relaxed, patient approach is essential. You must be able to remain composed and respond with empathy in all situations.
- You must be able to read moods and anticipate needs before they escalate.
- You must be trustworthy, kind, and patient at all times.
- You bring a positive, fun energy to the home and are self-motivated to find ways to make the day-to-day engaging.
- You have an inspiring outlook and a genuine desire to support a young adult in living their best life.
Role Details:
- Afternoon and weekend shifts are required. Availability Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.
- Must be available to work October and November, and be available for training prior.
- All relevant disability background checks and clearances are mandatory.
