Due to ongoing growth of our South Australia Business Unit, we are looking for an experienced Principal Pipeline Engineer with a wealth of experience, predominantly Oil and Gas industry. The ideal candidate will have the ability to independently win and run projects as well as oversee the development of a growing team. Ideally, you will have:

15+ years’ experience in design or integrity assessment of Oil & Gas pipelines.
- Australian experience in pipeline design including concept development, FEED and detail design phases.

Good understanding of relevant Australian acts, regulations, standards and codes related to the pipeline industry.

Ability to lead complex pipeline engineering activities with a high level of technical autonomy, judgement and accountability.

Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor and manage junior engineering team members.

A degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Excellent communication skills.

Excellent writing skills including report development.

Ability to manage your time and work independently.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Multi-services Manager, this is a varied and challenging role, and your responsibilities will include:

Provide technical support in the Engineering and Design processes for oil and gas pipelines.

Develop and support in FEED and Designs studies including detailed design calculations.
- Develop and support in the development of scoping documents such as routing studies, construction methodology, design criteria and alignment sheets.

Participate and support in risk assessment and associated workshops.

Prepare and support in cost estimates, equipment summaries and tender packages.

Prepare, review and provide quality assurance for technical reports.

Provide construction supervision and technical support during project execution.

Witness, verify and formally sign off pressure testing and commissioning activities.
