At North Haven PS we have an enrolment of 217 students with 17% Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated classroom teacher to join our team and contribute to our commitment of delivering high-quality education.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver explicit and effective teaching aimed at improving student outcomes

Create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs

Collaborate with colleagues to implement evidence-based quality teaching practices

Engage with parents and the school community to support student learning
Approval to teach Infants K-2 - Primary 3-6
Selection Criteria:

Demonstrated ability to implement explicit teaching pedagogy that promotes student understanding and achievement.

Commitment to quality teaching practices, including planning, assessment, and differentiated instruction.

Experience fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student wellbeing.

Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with colleagues, students, and parents.

Understanding of and commitment to embedding Aboriginal perspectives into curriculum and supporting Aboriginal students in education.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
