Full-time contract
Oz Patios & Sheds Cairns has been a family-owned construction company based in Cairns, QLD, for over 14 years. We primarily work on patios, carports and sheds projects, providing services from the ground up, including earth moving & excavation and concrete slabs & formwork to finished construction. Currently we are looking to expand our construction team and are looking for subcontractors to install (Ausdeck) insulated patio systems, carports & sheds in Cairns and surrounding North Qld areas.
This role is an ongoing full-time contract role, Monday to Friday. Weekend work is optional and will be paid by square metreage.
Duties will include:
· Erection of patios and carports mainly. Sheds are optional.
· Use of power-operated hand tools, i.e., grinders, screw guns, and drills.
· Working at heights, using scissor lifts & other lifting equipment
· Reading & understanding of construction plans
· General labouring duties & site clean-ups
· Communication with clients and other team members
The successful applicant will have:
· Ideally a trade qualification in construction
· At least 2 yrs experience working on a construction site & operating the relevant machines
· QBCC Licenced
· OH&S Construction Card (White Card)?
· EWP ticket
· Safe work at heights cards
· Experience with Power Tools such as grinder, screw guns, and drills
· Own Transportation and Tools to site every day
· Have good communication skills and be well presented
· A strong work ethic & team-player attitude
· A high level of energy and self-motivation
· Must be able to pass drug and alcohol screen and national police clearance on request
