Podean is a leading marketplace agency helping brands accelerate growth across Amazon, Walmart, Target, TikTok Shop, and other digital commerce platforms. We combine strategic expertise, data-driven insights, and creative innovation to deliver measurable business outcomes for our clients.

We are seeking an Account Manager to partner with our clients and the broader Podean team to develop and execute Amazon and marketplace strategies and unlock incremental brand growth.. Client servicing, strategy, program delivery, project management, and analysis will all be key functions in this role with the expectation that the account manager is well-versed in all aspects of eCommerce strategy including media, creative, and retail solutions.

What You'll Do

Own client relationships end-to-end - serve as the primary contact for senior stakeholders (including C-suite), lead all meetings and presentations, manage expectations, and build lasting trust.
Drive marketplace strategy - develop annual brand strategies, marketing and promotional plans, and supply chain recommendations. Identify new workstreams and upsell opportunities proactively.
Execute and manage cross-functional delivery - coordinate with media, retail, creative, and sales teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard. Own reporting, recaps, and action items.
Stay ahead of the platform - monitor Amazon and marketplace updates, communicate relevant changes to clients, and translate new opportunities into actionable recommendations.
Contribute to agency growth - monitor account servicing and lead upsell opportunities across your book of business, develop internal best practices and SOPs, contribute to agency thought leadership, and run onboarding/training sessions as needed.
An element of this role will be supporting new business, working closely with the Managing Director, who leads Podean's new business efforts. Its focus is the research, preparation, and production that keeps the pipeline fresh and moving including:
- Maintain the HubSpot CRM — updating deal stages, logging activity, and keeping records accurate and up to date.
- Build and enrich prospect lists against Podean's ideal-client profile, researching brands and identifying the right contacts to approach.
- Prepare briefs for discovery and pitch calls, covering brand background, Amazon presence, competitive context, and suggested questions.
- Support with building proposals and SOW's for review and sign-off.
- Turn performance and category data into the insights and slides that support the pitch narrative.
- Keep the case-study and sales-collateral library current and pitch-ready.
- Manage follow-ups and keep live opportunities moving between key touchpoints.
- Coordinate the hand off from the won deal to the account team so new clients start well.

What We're Looking For

5+ years in eCommerce, digital media, or marketplace marketing - with hands-on Amazon expertise across advertising, retail fundamentals, and platform tools/programs.
Experience in an agency environment, ideally marketplace or eCommerce-focused, with exposure to managing multiple client accounts simultaneously.
Proven ability to manage senior client relationships, align on business goals, and translate strategy into measurable outcomes.
Excellent communicator across all levels - you can present to a CMO and coach a junior analyst in the same afternoon.
Highly organised, commercially sharp, and comfortable with ambiguity. You own your work and don't need to be chased.
A proactive self-starter who enjoys the pace of new business — comfortable researching prospects, chasing detail, and turning things around quickly to support a pitch.
Confident building compelling decks and proposals, and translating data into a clear, persuasive story.
Proficient in Excel and Canva, and comfortable working in HubSpot (or a similar CRM) to keep pipeline and records in order.
Amenable to work in Sydney for 2-3x a week hybrid set up
