Cabinet Maker

We are currently seeking an experienced Cabinet Maker to join our growing team.

Brightwood Design is a close-knit bespoke cabinetmaking business specialising in high-end residential cabinetry and custom joinery. With more than 40 years of industry experience, we have built a reputation for exceptional craftsmanship, attention to detail, and quality workmanship. We work closely with designers, builders, and architects on a diverse range of projects, ensuring our work remains varied, challenging, and rewarding.

Tasks and responsibilities

Interpret technical drawings, specifications and work orders to determine manufacturing and installation requirements for custom cabinetry and furniture projects.
Select and prepare suitable materials, including solid timber, veneers, particleboard, laminates and other engineered wood products, for fabrication and installation.
Manufacture custom furniture, cabinetry and joinery items in accordance with approved plans, measurements and client specifications.
Assemble and install cabinetry, furniture and joinery components for residential kitchens, bathrooms and commercial fit-out projects.
Fit and adjust hardware components, including hinges, drawer runners, locks, catches, shelving systems and other furniture fittings.
Apply surface finishes and protective coatings to completed cabinetry and furniture to achieve the required appearance and durability.
Carry out on-site installation work, ensuring products are fitted accurately and meet project and client requirements.
Maintain quality standards throughout the manufacturing and installation process, including checking measurements, finishes and functionality.
Assist with the organisation and day-to-day operation of the workshop, including material handling, workflow coordination and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Collaborate with colleagues, supervisors and clients to ensure projects are completed to specification and within required timeframes.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

A relevant Certificate III qualification (or equivalent) and
At least four years of relevant post-qualification work experience as a Cabinet Maker.
A valid Construction White Card.
A current manual driver's licence.
The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

We offer

The role is for a full-time position with an annual salary between $90,000 and 100,000 per year. The salary will be determined based on qualification and experience. Australian citizens and holders of Australian Permanent Resident visas are encouraged to apply.

Pay: $90,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
