ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are hiring a BRAND NEW team for one of the biggest rail project at our Torbanlea Manufacturing Facility Site and seeking 1 x experienced Production Control Manager (Fit-out) and 1 x experienced Production Control Manager (Carbody).

Production Control Manager (Fit-out)

Reporting to the Production Manager, The Production Control (Fit-Out) Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the full production process associated with rolling stock interior fit-out. You will be the key link between production teams, engineering, quality, logistics, and project stakeholders.

Your focus will be to ensure production plans are developed, maintained, and executed efficiently, safely, and in alignment with project timelines and objectives.

Production Control Manager (Carbody)

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for developing, coordinating and controlling the production plan for Carbody and Bogie activities. You will work closely with engineering, quality, procurement and project teams to ensure production meets schedule, quality standards, and operational requirements.

This is a hands-on and influential role where you’ll manage daily/weekly production outputs, lead risk assessments, ensure compliance with HSSE standards, and support continuous improvement across the production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain clear production plans, including scope, timelines, resources and schedules.
Manage the project plans and coordinate production activities across Carbody and Bogie assembly.
Manage daily, weekly and monthly production progress in line with the master schedule.
Pre-emptively identify risks or bottlenecks, taking corrective measures to keep production on track.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to understand modifications, gather feedback and support project goals
Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
Ensure all production activities meet compliance, quality and safety standards.
Maintain accurate documentation and production records.
Report incidents, near misses or non-conformance in line with HRC policies.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

A qualification in Engineering, Project Management or similar.
Minimum 5 years’ rolling stock industry experience
Strong knowledge of project management principles.
Problem-solving and analytical mindset.
Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical or electrical drawings.
Excellent communication skills, including negotiation and stakeholder influence.
Strong understanding of on-site production control processes.
Ability to prioritise, multitask and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Understanding of HSE, Rail Safety and quality management principles.
Customer-focused, team-oriented and accountable.
A full driver’s licence and willingness to travel when required.
