At The Glennie School's Outside School Hours Care service, we're looking for enthusiastic people who want to make a genuine difference in children's lives. Whether you're studying education, coaching a sporting team, working in the arts, completing university, looking for flexible work, or simply love working with children, we'd love to hear what you can bring to our team.
About Us
Pitstop & Kindy Care is The Glennie School's Outside School Hours Care service, providing high-quality care for children from Kindergarten through to Year 7.
We believe OSHC is much more than before and after school care. Every day is an opportunity to spark curiosity, build confidence, encourage friendships and create experiences children genuinely look forward to.

About The Role
Every day is different, but your role might include:
- Building positive relationships with children and families.
- Supporting children's wellbeing, confidence and sense of belonging.
- Leading or assisting with games, creative experiences, sport, STEM, cooking or other activites.
- Encouraging children's ideas and supporting child-led play.
- Helping create engaging learning experiences guided by the My Time, Our Place Framework.
- Working collaboratively with a supportive team of educators.
- Maintaining a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for every child.
Bring Your Superpower
We are looking for people who have something they would love to share with children.
Maybe that's:
- Sport, dance or fitness
- Art, craft or photography
- Music, drama or storytelling
- STEM, robotics or gaming
- Cooking or sustainability
- Gardening or nature
- Homework support or literacy
- Or perhaps your greatest strength is simply helping children feel seen, included and capable.
You don't need to arrive with a complete program. We will provide the support, mentoring and resources to help you turn your interests into meaningful experiences for children.

What You Will Bring
- Experience working with children is highly regarded, but not essential.
- Qualifications in education and care are welcomed, however we also encourage applications from university students, teacher aides, education students, coaches, artists, musicians, youth workers and community members with relevant experience or transferable skills.
- A Positive Notice Blue Card for paid employment in accordance with the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (QLD) and Queensland's "No Card, No Start" requirements (or willingness to obtain).
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications (or willingness to obtain).
