Full Job Description

We are a Toowoomba based transport and logistics company looking for motivated and well organised individuals to fill Courier Driver roles. This could be a great opportunity for someone who has an excellent work ethic and is looking for establish themselves into a busy workplace.

This is a busy and very active role, delivering to both commercial and residential addresses. We service an extensive region

WHAT YOU NEED:

* Must be available to work Monday to Friday

* Current Australian Driver's Licence, with a good driving history

* Must be able to provide a current police check and current drivers licence history report from Department of Transport (less than one month old)

* Be capable of lifting up to 30kgs and have a reasonable fitness level to perform a busy role

* Excellent customer service skills and a strong attention to detail. Reasonable literacy and numeracy skills also required

* Excellent communication skills and the ability to talk, write and understand English when interacting with other people, including customers, carriers and other staff members

* Ability to load freight by areas, use handheld scanners and complete manual PODs

* Ability to conduct daily Pre-Start vehicle checks

* Excellent work ethic with a "can do" attitude and approach. Applicants must be capable of working on their own AND working with the team to get the job done. This position requires a team player who is willing to help out their work mate if needed and some runs are fluid depending on freight volumes and peak volumes

* Ability to use physical maps plus GPS directions to find correct delivery addresses but also able to retain information about run areas to find the best route. Some areas require local knowledge and the ability to not just follow GPS directions and end up on 4WD tracks!

* All staff are subject to random Drug & Alcohol testing throughout the course of their employment. Applicants agree to these random tests, if applicable, and acknowledge they must comply with requests if the need arises.

Do you have a valid driver's licence? If yes, what class of licence do you hold (CA / C / MR / HR etc)?

As detailed, this role requires the ability to lift up to 30kg. Are physically fit and strong enough to perform these duties?

Do you have any previous training in transport industry workplace health and safety regulations and your responsibility within that chain including CoR, Fatigue Management and NHVR guidelines and regulations? If yes and please detail your skills -
This role requires use of scanners and mobile phone apps to facilitate deliveries and pick ups. Training and education is provided and all staff have access to both a Driver Manual (contains detailed step by step instructions) and senior staff members, if needed.
