We are seeking an experienced Metal Machinist to join our team. The successful applicant will be responsible for setting up and operating conventional and CNC machining equipment to manufacture and modify precision metal components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
Key responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC and conventional machining equipment
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds and feeds
- Machine metal components to required dimensions and tolerances
- Measure and inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments
- Perform turning, milling, drilling, boring and other machining operations
- Carry out routine maintenance and adjustments of machinery
- Identify and rectify machining defects
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and quality standards
Skills and experience:
- Relevant trade qualification or equivalent experience
- Previous experience as a Metal Machinist/Machinist
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience operating CNC and/or conventional machinery
- Strong understanding of machining processes and precision measurement
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Pay: $79,499.00 – $80,000.00 per year
