Tasmania State Coordinator

Take ownership of a state operation with the backing of an experienced interstate team

Hobart, TAS
Full-time, Monday to Friday

A Rare Opportunity for Greater Responsibility

We are looking for a practical, organised and ambitious State Coordinator to become our key on-the-ground representative in Tasmania.

This is an active, field-based role with broader responsibility than a standard merchandising or servicing position. Most days will involve travelling between retail locations, restocking and presenting machines, checking performance and resolving operational or technical issues.

Because Tasmania is a smaller operation, you will also take responsibility for keeping the local warehouse, vehicle, stock and upcoming priorities organised.

You will work independently in Tasmania, but you will not be expected to figure everything out alone. You will report remotely to an experienced State Manager and State Coordinator based in Victoria, with regular planning meetings, clear direction, technical assistance and ongoing coaching.

The opportunity is ideal for someone who wants autonomy, variety and the chance to drive results, while still having a knowledgeable team available when support or approval is required.

Your State, Your Day-to-Day Ownership

You will be responsible for keeping Tasmania’s operation organised, responsive and performing to the required standard.Your responsibilities will include:

Planning and completing field runs across Hobart and regional Tasmania
Restocking machines and maintaining strong retail presentation standards
Investigating common faults and completing practical repairs using basic tools
Maintaining accurate digital records of visits, servicing, stock and issues
Supporting approved location surveys, machine installations, relocations and upgrades
Keeping the company vehicle organised, appropriately stocked and properly maintained
Preparing for upcoming runs, projects, promotions and equipment rollouts
Communicating regularly with the Victorian leadership and wider support teams

As part of your role, you will also be responsible for keeping the local warehouse, vehicle, stock, and upcoming priorities in Tasmania organised.

Independent, but Properly Supported

Being Tasmania’s sole on-the-ground operator means you must be comfortable managing your own day and making sensible decisions.

However, independent does not mean disconnected.

You will have:

A structured onboarding and training program
Company-funded training in Melbourne
Regular planning and review meetings with the Victorian team
Clear schedules, priorities and performance expectations
Phone, Teams and video support during the working day
Access to technical support when an issue is beyond your training or authority
Procedures, manuals and troubleshooting guidance
Follow-up coaching and refresher training
Interstate visits and hands-on support when required
Opportunities for further training and exposure to larger state operations

We will give you the knowledge, systems and support required to succeed. In return, we need someone who communicates early, follows agreed processes and takes ownership of applying what they have learned.

The Approach We’re Looking For

You will do well in this role if you:

Can organise your own schedule and stay across multiple priorities
Take pride in presentation and notice when something is not right
Think logically and investigate issues before escalating them
Are comfortable using basic tools and learning practical repairs
Can balance field work with warehouse, stock and vehicle responsibilities
Understand that good retail presentation and dependable equipment contribute to stronger results
Want to improve an operation rather than simply maintain the status quo

This is not a people-management role at present. The leadership element comes through ownership, judgement, communication and accountability for Tasmania’s operation.

Experience That Would Help

You do not need to be a qualified technician. Full equipment training will be provided.

You do need to demonstrate:

Strong organisation and personal accountability
Confidence working alone for much of the week
Good judgement and practical problem-solving
Retail awareness and attention to presentation
Clear written and verbal communication
Comfort using digital systems and maintaining accurate records
The fitness and energy required for regular driving, walking, lifting, stock handling and practical field work
A genuine desire to take responsibility and improve results

Requirements and Application

Full Australian working rights
A full and valid Australian driver’s licence
Availability for full-time weekday work
Willingness to travel throughout Tasmania
Availability for occasional overnight travel within Tasmania
Ability to travel interstate for initial and ongoing training when required
Confidence completing an active, hands-on and field-based role
Willingness to stay closely connected with a remotely based management team
