Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Hand to join our vibrant team at our restaurant, café, and events venue in Mount Tamborine. This temporary, casual role is perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in the hospitality and catering industry. As a Kitchen Hand, you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations, ensuring a clean and efficient workspace, and contributing to the overall success of our culinary team.

Tamborine Mountain Glades is a unique hospitality destination set within the rainforest at Thunderbird Park. With accommodation, weddings, conferences, family attractions and dining experiences all in one location, no two days are the same.

The Role

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Hand to join our team at Tamborine Mountain Glades.

This is a hands-on role supporting our chefs and kitchen team to keep service running smoothly. You will play an important part in maintaining a clean, organised and efficient kitchen across our restaurant, café, weddings, conferences and events.

Key responsibilities include:

Washing dishes, cookware and kitchen equipment
Maintaining cleanliness and organisation throughout the kitchen
Cleaning kitchen surfaces, floors and work areas
Assisting with basic food preparation when required
Receiving, moving and storing kitchen supplies
Supporting chefs and the wider kitchen team during busy service periods
Following food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures
Assisting with functions, weddings, conferences and special events

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

Reliable, punctual and ready to work
Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced kitchen
Physically capable of being on their feet and completing manual tasks throughout a shift
Organised and able to work efficiently
Positive, respectful and willing to help the team
Able to follow instructions and maintain high cleanliness standards
Flexible to work across weekdays, weekends and public holidays as required
Previous experience in a commercial kitchen, restaurant or hospitality environment is an advantage, but attitude and reliability are most important.
