About Us

Wellness Department is a growing professional fitness centre located in Hurstville NSW. We provide high-quality personal training, strength and conditioning programs, body transformation services, group fitness classes and personalised health improvement solutions to clients within the local community.

Located in one of Sydney’s most culturally diverse areas, our fitness centre supports clients from a wide range of backgrounds, including a growing Chinese-speaking community. We focus on delivering personalised fitness programs through professional coaching, effective communication and long-term client relationships.

Due to continued business growth and increasing demand for premium personal training services, we are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Fitness Instructor / Personal Trainer to join our professional team.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

-Conducting comprehensive fitness assessments and client consultations to identify individual fitness levels, goals and training requirements;

-Designing and delivering customised exercise, strength, conditioning and body transformation programs for clients with different fitness needs;

-Providing professional one-on-one personal training sessions and small group fitness programs;

-Developing specialised training plans focusing on strength development, weight management, mobility improvement, injury prevention and overall health enhancement;

-Monitoring client progress, analysing training outcomes and adjusting programs to maximise results;

-Providing guidance on safe exercise techniques, correct movement patterns and long-term fitness strategies;

-Assisting with the development and improvement of fitness programs, training systems and client retention strategies;

-Mentoring and supporting junior trainers to improve training quality and service standards;

-Maintaining accurate client records, progress reports and training documentation;

-Ensuring all fitness services comply with workplace health and safety requirements.

Skills and Experience Required

The successful applicant should have:

-Certificate III and Certificate IV in Fitness or equivalent qualifications;

-Proven experience working as a Personal Trainer, Fitness Instructor, Strength Coach or similar role;

-Strong knowledge of exercise programming, strength training, functional movement and client fitness assessment;

-Ability to design customised fitness programs based on individual client needs;

-Excellent coaching, communication and client relationship management skills;

-Ability to work independently and contribute positively within a professional fitness team;

-Strong commitment to delivering high-quality client outcomes.

Additional Skills Highly Regarded

-Ability to communicate effectively with clients from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds;

-Mandarin language skills will be highly regarded due to our growing client base within the local Chinese-speaking community;

-Experience working with clients of different ages, fitness levels and cultural backgrounds;

-Experience in providing strength training, body transformation and health programs for female clients will be highly regarded.
