Full time, continuing position located at the Camperdown Campus in the Faculty of Science
Opportunity to manage future High Degree by Research students from enquiries through to admissions at the Faculty of Science
Base Salary $107,312 - $115,686 + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

The Faculty of Science are welcoming applications for a Graduate Research Case Officer who will be responsible for managing future Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students through enquiries and admissions, whilst ensuring the timely progression of applications for admission and/or ranking of scholarship applications, through to the point of enrolment.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

develop and maintain an up-to-date understanding of the research education areas across the Faculty of Science, developing excellent relationships with Postgraduate Coordinators, individual researchers / supervisors and locally-based staff
provide a high level of customer service to applicants and supervisors at all times including adhering to service level agreements to case manage applicants through to the point of enrolment
respond accurately to enquiries from prospective HDR students and supervisors, via phone, email and in person in a timely manner, and case managing enquirers and applicants through to the point of enrolment. This will involve the use of resources, including University systems, in particular Sydney Student and require the maintenance of excellent interpersonal relationships with individuals
assist in the on-going development of policies and procedures relating to HDR admissions, HDR scholarships, and other administrative support relating to admission, including processing, ranking of scholarship applications and return of results to central groups process HDR and Higher Doctorate applications to the Faculty and assess applications against eligibility requirements, supervisor registration and load requirements and autonomous sanctions requirements.

About you

demonstrated experience delivering complex administrative services within a higher education or research-intensive environment (desirable)
demonstrated background in higher education admissions and/or scholarship administration (desirable)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong track record of managing diverse enquiries and delivering high-quality customer service
strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage deadlines and priorities while maintaining attention to detail
confidence in working with systems and digital platforms, including maintaining accurate applicant records and managing data workflows
skills in spreadsheet management and reporting, with the ability to analyse data and generate insights to inform decision-making and process improvement.
