About the Role

An exciting fixed-term opportunity is available for a Nurse Unit Manager to join our Community Services team in Stawell. With an immediate start available, this is a fixed term role, available until 31 December 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your leadership capability while supporting the continued delivery of safe, high-quality and person-centred community services. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operational and clinical leadership of the service, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care through a caring, skilled and professional workforce.

Key Responsibilities

Provide visible clinical and operational leadership, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, evidence-based and person-centred community services.
Lead and support multidisciplinary teams by fostering a positive workplace culture focused on collaboration, staff wellbeing, learning and continuous quality improvement.
Drive service improvement, strategic initiatives and change management to strengthen the integration, quality and sustainability of Community Programs.
Oversee operational performance, workforce planning, budgets and key performance indicators, while working collaboratively with the Director, Community Programs and key stakeholders.

Skills & Experience

Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1).
Demonstrated leadership experience in a clinical or community health setting.
Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and team leadership skills.
Experience in delivering high-quality, person-centred care and driving continuous improvement.
Sound operational and financial management skills, including workforce planning and budgeting.
Postgraduate qualifications in management or a related field (or willingness to undertake further study) are highly regarded.

This position is paid in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2024 - 2028. The classification is Nurse Unit Manager (NM11) which is paid at $71.91 per hour.
