Flow Health & Cardiac Diagnostics is a growing specialist diagnostic practice dedicated to providing exceptional cardiac care and diagnostic services in a professional, caring and patient-focused environment.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Medical Receptionist to join our friendly team on a part-time basis at our Robina clinic.
This role is ideal for an experienced medical receptionist who enjoys taking ownership, leading by example, and delivering an exceptional patient experience in a busy specialist cardiac and diagnostic practice.
About the Role
As the Senior Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, referring doctors and healthcare providers. You will play an important role in providing professional, compassionate service while supporting the administrative needs of the practice and clinical team.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and provide exceptional customer service
- Manage appointment bookings and specialist schedules
- Answer incoming telephone enquiries in a professional and caring manner
- Process patient registrations, Medicare claims and billing
- Liaise with cardiologists, sonographers, technicians, referring practitioners and healthcare providers
- Maintain accurate patient records with the highest level of confidentiality
- Support the clinical team with general administrative duties
- Mentor and support reception staff where required
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative and professional workplace culture
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous medical reception experience (essential)
- Experience working in a cardiology or specialist medical practice is highly regarded but not essential
- Experience using Xestro Practice Management Software, or the ability to quickly learn new medical practice management systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Outstanding organisational and time management abilities
- Strong computer skills and confidence using Microsoft Office and medical software
- A professional, compassionate and patient-focused approach
- The ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a busy specialist practice
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to patient confidentiality
