Full Job Description

Sun Agriculture Pty Ltd is an established Quality Agricultural Products retailer based in Wangara Western Australia, in the business of – Seeds, Fertilisers, Irrigation products, Equipment and Crop protection products that help serve and help our local farmers grow.

We are seeking a bright and highly motivated Accounting and Bookkeeping Officer to join our team in a dynamic and multifaceted role. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented and organized professional with strong accounting and bookkeeping expertise and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the day-to-day accounting functions of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

· Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in accounting systems

· Perform daily bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.

· Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.

· Prepare invoices, payment schedules, and financial reports.

· Process payroll and ensure timely submission of statutory requirements.

· Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.

· Maintain and organize financial records and documentation.

· Support budgeting and cash flow monitoring activities.

· Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and relevant regulations.

· Liaise with tax accountant, auditors, suppliers, and other stakeholders as required.

Required Skills & Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping, or a related field.

· Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping

· Advanced bookkeeping skills dealing with multi-currency transactions

· Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting

· Proficiency in accounting software preferably Xero and MYOB, or similar systems).

· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

· Good written and verbal communication skills

· High-level Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data entry)

· Positive “can-do” attitude and ethical work approach

· Willingness to learn, improve and grow with the role

· Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
