Active Ability Care – Supporting Adults & Kids to Live Life, Their Way
Sydney and Western Sydney

We’re on the lookout for a Disability Support Worker – someone genuine, reliable, and human (that part’s important). Participant has also requested they are female.

We support people with disabilities to live their lives, their way. It’s not always glamorous – there’s no superhero costume or magic wand – but it is real, rewarding work where you’ll make a difference every single day.

Here’s what the job actually looks like:

Helping people with everyday stuff like cooking, cleaning, or getting to appointments.

Supporting independence – whether it’s building life skills or just having a good yarn over a cuppa.
Sometimes it's supporting someone at their job as a gardener. Sometimes it’s meal prepping. Sometimes it’s just hanging out and being good company.
You might be in someone’s home, in the community, or out at the beach on a Tuesday afternoon. No two days are the same (and that’s part of the charm).

Who you are:

You’re kind, down-to-earth, and a good communicator.
You’re reliable. If you say you’ll show up, you show up.
You don’t need a pile of certificates (though experience helps), but you do need the essentials – a driver's licence, WWC (or willing to get one) an NDIS check (again we can get this later), and a positive attitude.
