About the opportunity

Are you motivated by getting behind the wheel of one of our iconic blue trucks to deliver for customers? As our Truck Driver, you’ll be the face of our trusted Townsville based StarTrack business, at the heart of your community and connecting businesses with their customers, and communities with each other day-in, day-out. You might not be working from home, but you’ll be on the road as a staple of your community, and it doesn’t get better than that!

Pay rate of $33.82/hr + 12% super + overtime rates and a pay increase in accordance with the EBA on its way in September! Leave loading paid on annual leave accruals taken

You’ll be

Safely loading your truck with freight for your deliveries with teammates at the facility.
Completing your own daily vehicle safety check.
Provide an outstanding customer experience representing StarTrack, Australia Post Group.
Driving our trucks between our Mt St John site and our customers, for deliveries and pick-ups.
Returning to StarTrack Townsville to unload pick-ups.

About you

You’re a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable personality who loves autonomy just as much as interacting with others and being a team player.
You’re passionate about making a difference in the community.

You’ll also need to

Hold a MR or C Class licence. Forklift preferred though not essential.
Be fit enough to load and unload freight items of all different shapes, sizes and weights, frequently in and out of a truck.
Be safety-focused and understand the importance of chain of responsibility.
Have a customer-centric mindset and effective communication skills.
You will need to meet our safe working load limit of weighing 130kgs or less.
Be prepared to provide a driving history report, undergo a driving assessment, pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening and nationally coordinated criminal history checks.
