Full Job Description

We're moving from foundation-building into a growth and scale phase, with a clear ambition to become a leading challenger in Business Banking. To achieve that, we need to continuously improve how businesses discover, join and start banking with us.

We're looking for a Manager, Growth Activation to own one of the most important growth levers in the business: converting customer intent into funded, active and engaged business banking relationships.

This role sits within the Growth team and is responsible for the mechanics of turning demand into customers.

You will own what happens after a prospective customer raises their hand by optimising registration, onboarding, account opening, product application and activation journeys to maximise conversion and customer value.

This is a highly cross-functional role, working across Growth, Product, Digital, Operations, Data and Technology to build a scalable acquisition engine capable of supporting ambitious growth targets.

What you'll do

Own acquisition and activation performance

Drive the performance of the customer acquisition funnel from registration through to funded account and active customer status.
Improve conversion rates across onboarding, account opening and product application journeys.
Reduce customer drop-off and friction throughout acquisition and activation processes.
Own acquisition funnel metrics and performance reporting, identifying conversion leakage and driving remediation actions.

Lead experimentation and optimisation

Design and execute experiments to improve conversion and activation outcomes.
Use customer, behavioural and funnel data to identify growth opportunities and prioritise improvements.
Build a culture of rapid testing, learning and continuous improvement across acquisition journeys.
Continuously optimise customer workflows based on data and customer feedback.

Partner across the business

Work closely with Product, Digital and Technology teams to improve customer journeys and remove friction.
Partner with Marketing and Growth teams to support acquisition initiatives and improve conversion performance.
Collaborate with Operations teams to identify process improvements and eliminate customer pain points.
Support the successful activation of customers acquired through direct, referral, partnership and embedded finance channels.

Improve acquisition quality

Help improve the mix of customers entering the portfolio by identifying behavioural patterns and conversion drivers.
Develop insights into customer segments, acquisition sources and activation outcomes.
Build visibility of conversion leakage and customer activation performance.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of acquisition economics and customer quality.

What you'll bring

Experience scaling digital acquisition, activation, onboarding or product growth within fintech, digital banking, SaaS, marketplace or technology businesses.
Strong analytical capability and confidence working with data to identify opportunities and measure outcomes.
Demonstrated success improving digital conversion or activation performance.
Experience using digital analytics and customer insight platforms such as GA4, Adobe Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude or similar.
Ability to translate customer behaviour and operational insights into measurable business outcomes.
Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence across multiple teams.
Comfortable working in fast-moving environments with evolving priorities and ambiguity.
High ownership mindset with a strong bias towards action and execution.
Experience in fintech, SaaS, marketplaces, digital platforms or digital banking environments will be highly regarded.

Sign-up to funded account conversion.
Customer activation and engagement.
Time-to-first deposit and time-to-first transaction.
Acquisition funnel efficiency and reduction in cost of acquisition.
Customer onboarding experience.
Acquisition quality and customer value mix.
