An exciting and rewarding opportunity is available for a suitably qualified Registered Nurse to join the Urgent Care team at Portland District Health.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe and effective personal care and clinical care, in accordance with the consumer’s needs, goals and preferences to optimise their health and well-being. You support the development of clinical skills in staff placed under your responsibility. You contribute to the quality, safety and risk management programs for the clinical unit/department. You contribute to an environment that is conducive to person centred care which fosters a culture of consumer engagement and partnership. Roster will include: Monday to Friday, shift work, night shift, weekends and Public Holidays.

About you:
- Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) via Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Post graduate qualification in Emergency Nursing and/or Intensive Care - desirable
- Current triage training/competency - mandated
- Current advanced Life support (ALS) - mandated
- Current Paediatric Advanced Life support - desirable
- Minimum 5 year's experience in an Emergency Department and/or Urgent Care Centre
- Strong clinical assessment, escalation, prioritisation and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
