About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Plumber to join our team at the Mt Gibson Gold Project. This permanent full-time position will provide preventative and reactive plumbing maintenance across the site and village while working an even-time 2:2 roster.
The successful applicant will be responsible for fault finding, repairs, installations and routine maintenance to ensure plumbing and associated water systems remain safe, reliable and compliant.
This position requires a strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship and teamwork. It is well suited to a self-motivated trades person who can work effectively in a remote, fast-paced mining environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Plumbing maintenance and repairs across the Mt Gibson site.
- Remote Village plumbing and general maintenance, including wastewater, sewerage systems, pumps and associated infrastructure.
- Plumbing-related maintenance of the reverse osmosis water treatment plant and associated infrastructure.
- Waste water treatment plant and associated infrastructure.
- Monitoring and maintaining plumbing consumables and critical spare parts.
- Conducting routine inspections and testing to ensure compliance with Australian Standards, legislative requirements and site procedures.
- Supporting asset inspections, lifecycle planning and capital replacement recommendations.
- Completing maintenance records, work orders and compliance documentation.
- Maintaining clean, organised and compliant work areas at all times.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum three years’ plumbing maintenance experience.
- Current unrestricted C Class Driver’s Licence with manual driving capability.
- Current WA Plumbing Tradesperson Licence.
- Current WA Gasfitting Permit or Licence.
- Construction White Card.
- Working at Heights, Confined Space Entry and First Aid qualifications are desirable.
- Previous remote mine site, village or facilities maintenance experience is desirable.
- Poly welding, Butt or Electrofusion Certification (Desirable)
- Prior VOC or skills operating excavators/ telehandlers or skidsteers (Desirable)
- Experience maintaining water treatment, wastewater or reverse osmosis systems (required).
- Effective knowledge of applicable legislation, Australian Standards and plumbing codes.
- Demonstrated fault-finding and problem-solving capability.
- Strong maintenance reporting and compliance documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
