Contract Trainer & Assessor – Health, Community Care, Safety & Construction
$60–$100 per hour | Contract | Perth Metro | Northern Suburbs
ABOUT WORKSTEAD
Workstead is a Perth-based workplace training business seeking experienced Trainers & Assessors for flexible contract opportunities.
Our focus spans health and community care, first aid, construction, workplace safety and industry, with public training in Perth’s northern suburbs and onsite workplace training across the Perth metropolitan area.
We are looking to build strong, ongoing relationships with experienced trainers across a range of specialist areas.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking experienced Trainers & Assessors interested in flexible, sessional contract work.
This may particularly suit trainers already working within the VET or workplace training sector who are interested in additional training opportunities alongside their existing commitments.
We would like to hear from trainers with qualifications, current vocational competency and/or delivery experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Health and clinical training
- Disability, aged care and community services
- Medication assistance and medication management
- Manual handling / manual tasks
- First Aid and CPR
- Construction and workplace safety
- White Card
- Fire Safety, Fire Warden and Chief Warden training
- Fire extinguisher and emergency response training
- Test and Tag / electrical equipment testing
- Working at Heights
- Confined Spaces
- Gas Test Atmospheres
- Other workplace, health, safety or industry training
You do not need to be qualified across all of these areas. We welcome applications from specialist trainers as well as trainers with a broad delivery scope.
WHAT THE ROLE MAY INVOLVE
Training opportunities may include public courses at training venues, onsite workplace training, private group bookings and corporate training.
Opportunities may be available across weekdays, evenings and weekends.
Trainers can advise Workstead of their availability and the areas of training they are interested in delivering.
There are no guaranteed minimum hours. Training opportunities will be offered based on trainer availability, course requirements and customer demand.
ABOUT YOU
Depending on the training you deliver, you will have:
- A current Trainer & Assessor credential appropriate to the training being delivered
- Relevant vocational qualifications and current industry competency
- Any licences, registrations or professional qualifications required for your training area
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Confidence delivering practical and engaging training
- A professional and reliable approach
- Ability to travel to training locations within the Perth metropolitan area (focus on northern suburbs)
Experience delivering training within the VET/RTO environment where applicable
We encourage applications from trainers with backgrounds across health and clinical care, disability and community services, aged care, first aid, construction, electrical, emergency response and industrial safety.
CONTRACT RATE
$60–$100 per hour, negotiable depending on qualifications, experience, training scope and individual course requirements.
Rates and any minimum engagement requirements can be discussed with suitable applicants.
