Based in Norwest Sydney, Credible Accounting is known for high-touch, personalised service tailored to each client’s needs. Team members work within established, reliable processes that enable efficient delivery and strong client relationships, providing a supportive environment for professionals who value quality and integrity.

Role Description The Senior Management Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Norwest, NSW. This position is responsible for preparing and reviewing management reports, budgets, forecasts, and financial statements, and providing insights to support decision-making for a wide range of clients. Day-to-day tasks include managing month-end processes, overseeing accruals and journal entries, performing variance and trend analysis, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and policies. The role involves collaborating closely with business owners and internal team members to interpret financial results, develop performance metrics, and recommend improvements to processes and controls. The Senior Management Accountant will also contribute to refining internal reporting frameworks, mentoring junior staff, and supporting continuous enhancement of service delivery.

Qualifications

Strong technical accounting skills, including experience with Financial Statements and Accruals.
Solid foundation in Finance and Accounting, with the ability to apply principles in a management accounting context.
Advanced Analytical Skills for budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and performance reporting.
Proficiency with accounting and ERP software, as well as Excel or other data analysis tools.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA) is highly desirable.
Experience in management accounting or similar roles, preferably within public practice or a multi-client environment.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly.
High attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a boutique firm setting.

Pay: $76,470.65 – $83,000.00 per year
