About the role:
The Pharmacy Purchasing Officer is responsible for coordinating the timely, accurate and cost-effective procurement of medicines, pharmacy products and related goods to support safe and continuous patient care across Western Health.
Key responsibilities:
- Ordering daily for the pharmacy department: This includes twice daily re-order replenishment orders and other daily ad hoc order requests from pharmacists and Satellite locations.
- Coordinate purchasing, product and inventory management activities.
- Liaise and coordinate with suppliers, pharmacy technicians, stores technicians and pharmacists in relation to incoming orders or changes to stock availability.
- Ensure that appropriate product levels are maintained and stored in accordance with legislative requirements.

- Need excellent communication, interpersonal and information technology skills.
