Receptionist – JAC Pakenham Tutoring Centre

Location: Pakenham, VIC
Employment Type: Part-time / Casual

About JAC Pakenham

JAC Pakenham is a tutoring centre dedicated to supporting students in achieving their academic goals. We are looking for a friendly, organised and reliable Receptionist to join our team and help create a welcoming environment for students and families.

About the Role

As the Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for students, parents and visitors. You will play an important role in managing the front desk, communicating with families and supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the centre.

Key Responsibilities

Welcome students, parents and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
Answer phone calls, emails and parent enquiries
Manage student attendance and appointments
Assist with enrolments, bookings and class schedules
Communicate with parents regarding classes, payments and centre updates
Maintain accurate student records and administrative files
Process payments and assist with basic administration
Support tutors with day-to-day administrative needs and setup for lessons
Keep the reception area organised and welcoming
Ensure students are checked in and out safely
Assist with general tasks to support the centre's daily operations

About You

The ideal candidate will be:

Friendly, approachable and confident when speaking with parents and students
Highly organised and reliable
Professional and well presented
Patient and understanding when dealing with children and families
Good understanding of Victorian curriculum, understanding of James An College programs
Comfortable using computers, email and basic office systems
Able to multitask in a busy environment
A strong communicator with excellent attention to detail
Previous reception, administration or tutoring-centre experience is desirable
