Following the decision by the Australian Government to acquire UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters from the US Government, Lockheed Martin Australia has established a core team of experienced military Rotary Wing professionals to support the initial procurement and ongoing sustainment activities. The modern-day, 3rd Generation UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter is the world’s leading multi-role battlefield and special operations helicopter with a proven legacy of exceptional capability and reliability. We are pleased to invite applications for the position of AME4 B1.3 to join our UH-60M Black Hawk team based in Oakey.

Your responsibilities will include:

You will meet the authorisation requirements under 16 Avn Bde DASR 145 MOE and are primarily responsible for ensuring aircraft are airworthy in accordance with prescribed aviation standards. You will be directly supporting Maintenance Managers in the execution of maintenance and aviation related duties by providing holistic tactical level task co-ordination, personnel management, and supervision for a group of maintenance tasks or GAT and/or personnel. Carry out Error Capture(Independent Inspector) Inspections.

About you:

To be successful, it is essential you demonstrate the following skills and experience:

DASA issued B1.3 MAML without E62 Supervision exclusion
Platform specific safety familiarisation course (or equivalent)
Competence assessment on the task being authorised
System or component specific courses for component level maintenance
An understanding of Plan, Brief, Execute, Debrief (PBED) principles
Excellent understanding of WH&S requirements
Excellent experience as an Independent Inspector in a Defence Aviation environment.
Excellent understanding of the effects of Human Factors in Maintenance.
Tertiary qualifications (Certificate IV or above) in Aeroskills – Mechanical, from a recognised institution

Special Requirements:

Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance and employment may be contingent on the provision of further personal information including citizenship to ensure compliance with international export control legislation and regulations.
