Full Job Description

We are looking for a casual bather to join our team at Sunshine Coast Pet Grooming

Days will fluctuate weekly, but a typical roster will look like either Monday - Friday, or Monday, Thursday Friday

The role:

You will be required to bathe and prep dogs of all shapes, sizes, and coat types (training can be provided, though experience is preferred)

While working with animals is of course rewarding and a privilege, this is not a cushy position that is playing with dogs all day. You need to be able to lift up to 15-20kg, reasonably fit because the position does require a lot of standing and constant movement all day, and be prepared to get a bit messy

We are a professional salon with 0 tolerance for misconduct towards the dogs, so the applicant needs to also be patient and understanding and be able to navigate working with beings with full autonomy, because yes, sometimes the work is emotionally and mentally challenging. We work hard to create a calm environment so the applicant needs to be able to remain poised and communicative even when feeling pressure.

As well as the above, we expect you to present neatly, have a high level of people skills as we communicate daily with pet parents about one of the most important things in their life and this must be treated as such, be happy to represent the salon in a professional manner both inside and outside work
