Business Development Manager - Telecommunications, Digital Marketing & AI Agents

Chief Sales Co. is recruiting on behalf of a growing, multi-brand client delivering telecommunications, digital marketing and AI agent solutions to small and medium businesses across NSW.

Our client believes sales is still done best by real people, in person, building real relationships. This role isn't about working a queue of inbound leads or relying on automated sequences to do the heavy lifting. It's about getting in front of business owners, earning trust face to face, and closing deals the old fashioned way.

We're looking for an experienced Business Development Manager based in Newcastle to drive new business across the full product suite. This is a small business, not a corporate call center, so you'll get real autonomy over your territory and pipeline, along with real accountability for the number you're expected to hit.

About the role

Own and deliver your own new business revenue target across telecommunications, digital marketing and AI agent products
Build and run your own pipeline through prospecting, networking and referrals. You'll get SDR support, but hitting target is on you, not on how many leads land in your inbox
Manage the full sales cycle, from first contact through to close, selling to small business owners and decision-makers
Work out which combination of products actually solves a client's problem, rather than pushing one thing at everyone
Cover Newcastle and the surrounding Hunter region

What you'll bring

3-5+ years' experience as a BDM or in a similar new business sales role
A genuine hunter mentality. Comfortable generating your own pipeline and being accountable for an outcome, not just working leads handed to you
Experience selling B2B services to small business owners (telco or digital marketing background well regarded, but not essential)
Strong communication and relationship-building skills with a varied client base
A valid driver's license and your own vehicle
