This role is classified as Level 3 role under SBS Australia's current Enterprise Agreement (with a base salary range of $91,814 - $99,376). The successful applicant will be offered remuneration that is commensurate with their skills and experience and in alignment with this framework.
As a rostered shift worker, additional shift penalty payments may apply for work performed outside of ordinary hours, including weekends and public holidays, as per the SBS Enterprise Agreement (EA). SBS may also require you to work reasonable overtime, where overtime will be paid at applicable rates in accordance with the EA.
The Role
The Cross-Platform Producer, World News will play a critical role in producing engaging news content across SBS News platforms. Carrying out a variety of mid-level newsroom roles including Output Producer, Associate Producer (Day/Late), Finance Producer, Digital Video Producer and other more senior roles when/if required.
Key responsibilities include:

Produce news, finance, sport and feature content for television, digital, audio and social platforms.

Coordinate breaking news coverage and support the delivery of updates, promos and revised bulletins when required.

Collaborate with editorial, production, design and content teams to deliver high-quality, audience-focused journalism.

Research, write, edit and prepare scripts, voice-overs and related content to meet editorial standards and deadlines.

Oversee accurate and timely publication of online content and social media posts in line with our style and editorial guidelines.
About You
We’re looking for someone who brings:

Demonstrated experience producing news content across television platforms â experience in digital and online platforms highly desirable.

Strong writing, editing and sub-editing skills, with the ability to produce accurate and engaging content.

Proven research skills and the ability to identify and develop stories using a range of sources.

Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working across editorial, production, design and technical teams.

The ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines in a busy newsroom environment.
