Salary: In Accordance with Award
Employment Type: Full-time (38 hours per week)

About the Role
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team for ongoing Full-Time employment in our Glenorchy (Tasmania) Office. The role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients in accordance with accepted nursing practice, professional standards and workplace policies.

Key Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients in accordance with accepted nursing practice and standards.
Work in consultation with doctors, allied health professionals and other members of the healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
Provide nursing interventions, treatments and therapies, including administering medications and monitoring patient responses.
Monitor patients’ conditions, maintain accurate clinical records and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
Promote health and assist in preventing illness by participating in health education and health promotion activities.
Answer questions and provide information to patients and families about treatment, care plans and ongoing support.
Assist with the development and review of individual care plans.
Supervise and coordinate the work of Enrolled Nurses, assistants in nursing and other healthcare workers where required.
Maintain a safe, clean and professional healthcare environment in accordance with workplace health and safety standards.

Qualifications and Experience

Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
Relevant nursing qualifications.
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
NDIS Worker Orientation Module
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Ability to pass a National Criminal History Check
Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or Working with Vulnerable Persons Check (WWVP)
Previous experience as a Registered Nurse is preferred, but new graduates may also be considered.
Knowledge of nursing practice standards, patient care planning and clinical documentation.

Skills

Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
Compassionate, patient-focused and professional approach.
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills.

You must have the right to live and work in Australia.
