KOVA Built is growing, and we're looking for experienced metal roofers who want to be rewarded for what they can actually do, not simply how long they've been in the industry.
We've built a skills and culture-based pay structure that means the better you are at your trade, the more you earn.
1. EXPERIENCED ROOFER
Estimated $40–$50/hr + super
Ideal for someone who can work independently and consistently produce quality work.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has 5+ years roofing experience
- Can install metal roofing independently
- Can complete standard flashings and cappings
- Can install gutters and downpipes
- Measures accurately
- Solves common problems without constant supervision
- Meets expected production standards
- Is reliable and turns up ready to work
- Works well within a crew
- Maintains a clean and professional site
2. SENIOR ROOFER
Estimated $50–$65/hr + super
You're not just a roofer — you're someone the crew can rely on.
You'll be capable of:
- Running roofing work with minimal supervision
- Fast and accurate sheet installation
- Complex flashings and custom work
- Setting falls and solving drainage issues
- Setting out roof packages
- Anticipating problems before they happen
- Consistently exceeding production expectations
- Planning materials and job sequencing
- Maintaining excellent client and site standards
- Helping develop less experienced team members
3. LEADING HAND / TOP-TIER ROOFER
Estimated $65–$75+ /hr + super
This is for the roofer who can effectively run the job, not just work on it.
You're someone who:
- Has extensive roofing experience
- Is highly competent across the entire roofing process
- Can set out and manage a complete roof package
- Handles complex flashings and problem-solving
- Consistently delivers high productivity
- Anticipates issues before they become problems
- Plans materials, access and sequencing
- Keeps the crew moving
- Develops apprentices and junior workers
- Represents KOVA professionally with clients
- Leaves sites cleaner than they found them
- Sets the standard for the rest of the crew
Your pay framework specifically rewards experienced roofers, with further increments for qualifications, trade capability, productivity and leadership/culture.
WHAT KOVA COVERS
We don't expect our roofers to wear the cost of doing the job.
We cover:
