About the Role
As a Care Worker supporting clients across the Port Stephens and surrounding areas, you will be part of our BaptistCare At Home team that provides quality complex care and support to our clients in their own homes. You may assist with a range of tasks pertaining to household cleaning, showering, dressing, food preparation, continence support, medication assistance and transport to name a few. You will also develop genuine connections with your clients and help them live their best possible lives.
Successful applicants must be able to commit to a minimum of three weekdays (Monday to Friday) between 8am and 5pm.
How We Support You
To support you from your very first day, we provide:
- A comprehensive orientation program including buddy shifts
- Direct access to a dedicated supervisor to support you
- A mobile phone to access emails, rosters and client care plans
- Access to a dedicated learning and development team to support your ongoing professional development and career pathways
- Earn $34.42/hr (unqualified) - $36.23/hr (qualified) plus superannuation per hour + paid travel time and mileage between clients

What You'll Bring
You will have an unrestricted Australian Driver Licence and a reliable vehicle with minimum Third-Party Property Damage Insurance to transport clients. You will be a strong communicator with resilience and patience. You will be a proficient user of smartphone technology, apps and email. You have a caring nature, strong patience and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in someone’s day.
