Position Classification & Renumeration: Dependent on Qualifications
Social Worker, Counsellor or Occupational Therapist Level 3: $58.95 - $60.86 per hour
Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2: $62.82 - $64.88 per hour
Senior Psychologist: $62.52 - $67.75 per hour

The Whole Family Team (WFT) is a dynamic, multi-disciplinary service that delivers specialist in-home and community-based support to adults and their families facing complex mental health and/or drug and alcohol challenges, particularly where children have been identified as being at risk of significant harm. Operating under an assertive outreach model, the team works intensively with families over a twelve-month period to provide sustained, meaningful intervention.

Clinicians within the WFT bring diverse professional backgrounds and a wide range of specialist skills in mental health and substance use. Team members are encouraged and supported to draw on their full professional expertise to meet the diverse and often complex needs of families, contributing to meaningful and sustainable change.

What you will bring to the role:

This is an Identified Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander Position. Applicants for this position must be of Aboriginal descent through parentage, identify as an Aboriginal person and be accepted in the community as such. Exemption is claimed under Section 14(d) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW). Must also hold current Driver's License and willingness to use for work purpose travel

Occupational Therapist - Recognised tertiary qualifications & registration with AHPRA & significant clinical experience in a mental health setting; b) Counsellor - Minimum AQF level 7 qualification recognised or accredited by the Peak Body (PACFA) with eligibility for membership as a counsellor with PACFA; c) Social Worker - hold a minimum bachelor's degree & eligibility for membership of AASW & significant clinical experience in a Mental Health setting; d) Nursing - Relevant post-registration qualification & a minimum 3 years' experience in a Mental Health setting: e) Senior Psychologist - four year degree in Psychology being a three year degree with a fourth year honours or who has qualifications deemed equivalent by the LHD & who is registered as a Psychologist with AHPRA. Current Senior Psychologist or eligible for senior Psychologist grading (with no less than 12 months or 9th year of service or thereafter rate).

Demonstrated experience and competence in family focused, evidence based psychosocial assessment and intervention with a complex caseload in a community setting. This includes specialist knowledge of - The impact and treatment of parental mental illness and drug and alcohol problems on family functioning, intra-familial child abuse and neglect and family focused integrated treatment including risk assessment and safety planning

Demonstrated advanced reasoning skills with proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team with minimal direct clinical supervision

Demonstrated capacity to act as an independent consultant and clinical leader in the specialty area of family focused mental health

Demonstrated partnership building and negotiation skills with a wide range of service providers and well-developed understanding of the interface between services

Demonstrated knowledge of the historical and contemporary issues which may impact on Australian Aboriginal family functioning and ability to provide a culturally appropriate service

Evidence of an advanced level of verbal/written communication skills, analytical and interpersonal skills and the ability to apply these skills to contribute to the Whole Family Team ongoing evaluation, monitoring and enhancement of service delivery
