Full Job Description

We are currently seeking to develop a new candidate to work with our existing team as a Welder.

As a leader in the industry, we specialise in providing top-quality fencing solutions to our clients across various sectors. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the success of our projects and advance your career in the construction field.

The ideal candidate will be willing to travel Australia-wide to complete works (travel, accommodation, meals and living away allowance are paid plus regular breaks to return home).

Responsibilities

Oversee and manage all aspects of fencing construction projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion within budget.
Supervise a team of construction workers, providing clear instructions and guidance to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols.
Coordinate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution and effective communication.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify any issues, and implement corrective measures as required.
Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Track project expenses, monitor resource allocation, and maintain accurate project documentation.
Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment for construction projects.
Provide training and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Site Supervisor in fencing construction in either security, commercial, residential and rural fencing, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of installation techniques, materials, and industry standards.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Exceptional organisational and problem-solving abilities.
Solid understanding of safety protocols and regulations within the construction industry.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Valid driver’s license.

The following Qualifications and Certifications are a plus:

White Card
Forklift licence
MR/HR/HC heavy vehicle licence
Any high-risk work licences
Various plant and machinery tickets
Relevant technical certifications or vocational training.
