About the Role

We’re looking for compassionate and enthusiastic Wellbeing Services Employee to join our Residential Care Home team at IRT Woodlands, Meridan Plains.

In this role, you’ll create meaningful moments that help residents stay active, connected and engaged. You’ll take the time to understand each person’s interests, preferences and routines, whether you’re leading a group activity, supporting a community outing or simply sharing a conversation.

This role is exclusively for Wellbeing Services (formerly Lifestyle) and does not transition to a Care role. We are seeking dedicated employees to engage and support residents through wellbeing-focused activities and services.

Positions available: Permanent Part-Time

Rostered shifts:

Wednesday and Friday (Week 1 and Week 2)
8:30am to 4:00pm

Flexibility to work across a range of shifts when required is essential.

How you’ll make a difference

Deliver engaging wellbeing programs that support independence, confidence and social connection
Support residents to take part in meaningful individual and group activities, including games, crafts, music, exercise, special events and cultural celebrations
Assist residents during community outings and bus trips, helping them feel safe, included and connected
Provide personalised one-on-one support and build meaningful relationships with residents
Monitor resident participation, maintain accurate documentation and share relevant feedback with the wider care team
Work collaboratively with residents, families, volunteers and colleagues to provide consistent, person-centred support
Help create a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment that respects each resident’s interests, culture and preferencesces.

To Be Successful You Will Have

- Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or an equivalent qualification; or
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Leisure and Health (highly regarded)
- A caring, positive and enthusiastic approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Creativity, initiative and a passion for developing engaging activities
- Strong teamwork and organisational skills
- Confidence working independently and managing competing priorities
- Knowledge of dementia care (desirable)
