About the role
As a
Registered Nurse with
Southern Cross Care Queensland, you will join a highly skilled and compassionate team dedicated to delivering exceptional, person-centred care to our residents. Working under the leadership of an experienced
Clinical Manager, you will provide advanced clinical and holistic care while supporting residents to achieve the best possible quality of life.
You will provide guidance, support and supervision to your team members, fostering a collaborative approach to delivering high-quality care. Working closely with medical practitioners, residents, families and the broader multidisciplinary team, you will help ensure the delivery of safe, personalised and evidence-based care.
Above all, you will combine your clinical expertise with genuine compassion and empathy, building meaningful relationships with residents founded on dignity, respect and trust, while making a positive difference in their everyday lives.
What will you bring to the role?
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality, person-centred and holistic clinical care.
- Sound clinical knowledge and experience in aged care, including chronic disease management, palliative care and dementia care (desirable).
- A genuine commitment to supporting older people to live their best lives.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong clinical assessment, organisational and attention to detail skills.
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including night shifts (desirable).

Southern Cross Care (SCC) is a Catholic not-for-profit organisation established by the Knights of the Southern Cross, more than 40 years ago. They saw a need to provide compassionate care and inclusive service to some of the most vulnerable, the ageing population, in the community.
