Position Summary
The ICT Technician will undertake routine tasks under the direction and supervision of the ICT Manager who overseas ICT functions of the College. The ICT Technician will work together with the ICT Manager to maintain the ICT Equipment of the College including Classroom Audio/Visual, Photocopiers/Printers, Laptops, Desktops, Computer Labs, purchase of ICT Equipment and assistance as required.
There will be several tasks to be performed on a regular basis where priorities are clear, procedures are well established and direction is readily available.
The ICT Technician is responsible to the Principal, Assistant Principals & the Business Manager.

Hours of Duty
- This is a part-time role consisting of 22.5 hours per week, including a 30 minute unpaid lunch break. Hours are from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm with additional hours as directed by the Principal.
- School Leave: negotiable as required in communication with the Principal, Business Manager and Daily Organiser.
Primary Responsibilities
- Undertaking general maintenance of ICT Equipment
- Working through a schedule of regular tasks and maintenance audits
- Undertake routine inspections of all ICT Equipment to ensure all equipment is in good working order
- Assist with manual tasks such unpacking ICT equipment in readiness for set up, assist with set up of ICT equipment for school events.
- Regular collection of supplies from authorised suppliers, eschools ordering process in collaboration with ICT Technician
- Performing building maintenance programs including, but not limited to...repairing and replacing laptop devices, and any other equipment, as it requires attention.
- Carry out minor maintenance tasks, as they are identified (eg. Classroom Audio/Visual equipment, Photocopiers/Printers, Laptop & ICT Equipment repairs etc.)
- Liaise with contractors to carry-out works requiring certification and/or specific expertise.
- Manage the use and maintenance of equipment within the work area
- Ensure security is maintained within the work area
- Work as part of a team to ensure that all OH & S requirements are met
- Assist the ICT Manager and School Technician with the maintenance and management of College equipment
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills in order to communicate with all stakeholders, including students, parents, staff and goods and services providers including prioritising of tasks.
- An ability to work independently with confidence and initiative, including prioritising workloads
- Manage procedures relating to the College equipment in accordance with school policy
Essential Requirements of the Role
- Evaluate and select equipment and materials and make recommendations to senior management
- Develop procedures relating to the use and maintenance of equipment and materials
- Coordinate the purchase of equipment and materials
- Coordinate and undertake routine inspections as required
- Maintain strict confidentiality at all times
- Liaise with ICT Manager, School Technician and Leadership team on status of tasks
- Attend ICT Meetings as required
