Are you ready to make a real impact on forest management, fire prevention and emergency response? Lead the way and join our elite team as a Forest and Fire Operations Officer – Field Team Leader!

Step into a thrilling role where you’ll lead work groups, coordinate operations and ensure the ongoing effectiveness of our workcentres.

We are seeking exceptional individuals like you to join our passionate Forest and Fire Operations Officer (FFOO) team.

As a Forest and Fire Operations Officer – Field Team Leader, you’ll be at the forefront of forest management and fire prevention activities across Victoria’s state forests, national parks and protected public land. Your leadership skills will drive the success of our work groups, as you plan, direct and coordinate a wide range of activities.

This is your chance to join an exceptional team committed to environmental conservation and public safety. Be prepared for potential deployment across the state, where you may encounter challenging terrains whilst contributing to both emergency response and planning burning operations.

Applicants must hold a current manual Drivers Licence (conditions A, I & V not acceptable for employment).

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

Demonstrated experience and understanding in leading field work delivery teams is desirable.
Demonstrated experience and understanding in natural resource management, preferably with good knowledge of forest management/forest operations.
Ability to achieve accreditation and maintain competencies in Crew Leader/Operations Officer Level 1.

This position is ongoing, available in the regional location of Knoxfield, Victoria.

You’ll have the chance to explore and protect stunning landscapes whilst earning a competitive salary ranging from $66,265 to $74,200 per annum, plus superannuation.
