Housekeeping Supervisor for Five Star Hotel

Empire Hospitality is Australia's leading Housekeeping outsourcing company to deluxe hotels.

A great opportunity has become available in a stylish 5 star deluxe hotel in Sydney for highly experienced Housekeeping Supervisors with career goals.

This is an opportunity to make your mark. An exciting opportunity with a long-term career focus has become available for a highly experienced Housekeeping Supervisor with proven experience in a luxury hotel's housekeeping department.

You will bring your extensive experience to the team and assist the Executive Housekeeper with managing the department and contract obligations.

Previous experience in a senior Housekeeping leadership or manager role, or as a Housekeeping Supervisor looking to take the next step in your career is essential.

No two days are the same.

Positions Available:

4 Full-time positions
4 Part-time positions

You are required to submit a detailed cover letter outlining your experience and why you would be a strong candidate, along with a detailed resume and two professional referees.

Please demonstrate proven experience in the following areas:

Managing productivity
Focus on quality and attention to detail
Housekeeping training
Brand standards
Managing performance
Effective communication
Working on a rotating roster
Managing relationships & people

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Implementation of policies and procedures and training of the team
Availability on rotating roster including weekends
Conduct daily rooms and public area inspections, including checking all VIP Rooms
Work as required on rotating roster with fixed days off
Check rooms according to hotel standards
Co-ordinate all staff requirements daily, ensuring sufficient and effective staffing across all department sections while maintaining maximum efficiency
Create rosters for all housekeeping staff, liaising with hotel management regarding special staffing requirements
Ensure timely return of rooms
Handle all staff requests and maintain up-to-date records
Keep all housekeeping files and staff files current and well-organized
Assist in preparing productivity reports
Oversee smooth handling of lost property to ensure all items are properly collated, stored and redistributed
Conduct checks on all Housekeeping keys to ensure accountability
Work closely with management team in determining policies and setting department standards
Assist in stock takes and special projects
Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety procedures within the department
Ensure quality procedures are followed and quality standards are maintained
Maintain working relationships with clients and other relevant parties
Ensure commercial risks to the Company are minimised
Participate in and actively support ongoing staff training
Contribute towards promoting a high company image in our field
Provide technical and professional skill, knowledge and support to specific assigned projects
