THE ROLE
As a Cook at Northaven, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality meals that support residents’ wellbeing and daily enjoyment.
Prepare and present nutritious, well-balanced meals aligned with set menus
Support the delivery of specialised and therapeutic diets
Assist with meal service across dining areas
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene
Support stock control, ordering, and kitchen organisation
Contribute to special events, functions, and community activities
Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and wider team

ABOUT YOU
You have solid kitchen experience from restaurants, hotels, or commercial hospitality. Aged care experience is not required. What matters is that you can cook well, work as part of a team, and show up reliably for your shifts including weekends.
Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent trade experience
Background in restaurants, hotels, or commercial kitchens (this is what we are looking for)
Food Handling and Hygiene Certificate (required)
Reliable, team-focused, and takes pride in the standard of their work
National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical assessment
Proof of working rights in Australia
